Monica Reese

Monica M. 'Mona' Reese, 87, of Clearfield, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Mrs. Reese was born October 1, 1937, in Bellefonte, the daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa (Kochick) Boscaino.

She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield where she also was a member of the Rosary and Altar Society. Mrs. Reese enjoyed playing golf and working in her garden. She liked to arrange flowers and make wreaths to sell at the Strawberry Tree in Curwensville. When her husband retired, she enjoyed traveling with him, especially to Florida.

Mrs. Reese is survived by her daughter, Donna Reese; three grandchildren, Rachael Norris and husband Dan, Sarah Evans and husband Eric, and Emily Reid and husband Joshua; and seven great grandchildren, Benjamin, Thomas, Hannah, Dakota, Lydia, Grady, and Cooper.

The family would like to thank the Davita Dialysis Doctor, nurses and staff and the Doctors and nurses who cared for her at the DuBois Neuro ICU. The family appreciates the special care she has received.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Reese on November 8, 2016; a brother, Joseph Boscaino Jr.; and a sister, Geraldine 'Tootsie' Starcovic.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 10 AM with Fr. Robert Horgas as celebrant. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

A visitation will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory, Clearfield on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 5-8 PM and on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 9-9:30 AM.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Catholic School, 230 S. Second Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
