Nancy A. Myrter, 75, of Clearfield, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
She was born April 12, 1950, the daughter of the late Nathan Paul and Helen (Rushnok) Lawhead.
Nancy was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, serving as a Eucharstic minister and member of the Rosary and Altar Society. She was also a member of the N.O.N. Club, Clearfield. Nancy had been employed as a secretary and transciber all of her life, working at the Clearfield Hospital, Philipsburg Hospital, and Drayer Physical Therapy. She had a lifelong passion for horses and dogs, both showing and training the animals. This love has been passed on to her daughter, Dena.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Dennis 'Denny' Myrter of Clearfield; one daughter, Dena Myrter of Newport; two sisters, Carol Duke of Clearfield, and Karen Beish and husband Jesse of Cleafield; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Lawhead.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Catholic Church, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
