P. Thomas Wonderling, 83, of Flegal Road, Clearfield, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

Born July 5, 1943, he was the son of Melvin H. and Josephine A. (Wohlbaugh) Wonderling of Summerville.

On April 27, 1968, he married Roselee (Eckman) Wonderling at Worthville Church in Worthville, PA. She survives at home in Clearfield after 58 years of marriage.

Tom worked as an engineer for WPSU at Penn State for 45 years, retiring in 2008. He also worked part-time for WCPA radio. His lifelong interest in radio and electronics extended beyond his professional career, and he held an amateur radio license. He was a member of the former Christ United Methodist Church in Clearfield, PA, where he served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.

An avid fisherman, trapper and hunter, Tom enjoyed spending time hunting with his son and grandsons, going on adventures in nature with his granddaughters, fishing with his friend Ron at Curwensville Lake and going to Penn State football games for over twenty years with his friend Bart. He was also a talented woodworker who created many beautiful pieces for family and friends. Those handmade gifts will remain treasured reminders of his skill, generosity, and the care he put into the things he made for others.

His greatest joy, however, was his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and the time he spent with them meant more to him than anything he could build or create.

In addition to his wife, Roselee, Tom is survived by his son, Donald Eugene Wonderling and his wife, Nichole, of Houtzdale; his daughter, Jeannine L. Wonderling-Inlow and her husband, Shawn Inlow, of Altoona; four grandchildren, Alan Ross Wonderling and his wife, McKenzie, of Sandy Ridge, Aaron Michael Wonderling and his wife, Jenna, of Hollidaysburg, Erica Margaret Wimer and her husband, Isaiah, of Clearfield, and Emily Rose Hanes of Curwensville; and his brand new great-grandson, Atlas Wimer.

He is also survived by two siblings, Virginia "Ginny" L. Gray and her husband Jim and John Melvin Wonderling and his wife Doris.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin H. and Josephine A. Wonderling, a brother, David Keith Wonderling, and a sister, Marlene Y. (Wonderling) Smith.
