Paula Starck

Paula Marie Starck, 69, of Allport died on Friday, November 8, 2024 at her home.

She was born on February 26, 1955 in Cumberland, MD, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Lukach) Kardoley.

Paula graduated in 1973 from Philipsburg-Osceola High School. She worked in food service at Penn State University, retiring in 2012. She was a volunteer at Mount Nittany Medical Center and also volunteered for St. Vincent de Paul. She loved cooking and baking for fundraisers, notably making hundreds of pierogies and pies for fundraisers at Queen of Archangels Church of Clarence. She also enjoyed planting and tending to her flowers at home. Her family was most important to her, and spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest joy.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Starck; three children, Sean Starck and wife Randee of Kylertown, Ryan Starck and companion Meghan O'Melia of State College, and Amanda Starck of Bellefonte; two grandchildren, Alexys McGovern and Kase Starck; a sister, Linda Smeal and husband David of Clearfield; two nieces, Lori Mayer and husband Jason of Jacksonville, NC, and Jennifer Smeal and companion Felix Delrosario of Harrisburg; and a great niece, Grace Mayer.

Services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory, Clearfield on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 3:30 PM.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-3:30 PM.

Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Christian Servant Academy, 4064 Winburne Munson Road, Morrisdale, PA 16858.
