Richard Paul Fontenoy Jr.

Richard Paul Fontenoy Jr., 86, passed away on May 21, 2026, at the Penn Highlands Clearfield.

He was born January 17, 1940, the son of Richard Paul Fontenoy Sr. and Mary (Schnarrs) Michaels.

Richard loved hunting, fishing, and camping and will be forever loved and missed. He was always known for his joking nature and practical jokes.

He served with the US Army USAR ORD and was awarded the Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle).

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joyce (Caldwell) Fontenoy whom he wed January 30, 1975; three children, Cory Fontenoy, Cheryl K. Davis, and Richard Fontenoy III; step children, Eddie Milligan Jr., Melissa Mayhew, and Kimberly Pierce; 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; and a sister, Cathy Serba.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Super; a step-daughter, Debra Grice; a brother John Fontenoy; and a sister, Barbara Barr.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
