Robert F. Amon, 93, of Milton, and formerly of Clearfield and DuBois, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Elmcroft Senior Living Facility, Lewisburg.
He was born on March 23, 1927 in Shawville, a son of the late Emerson and Ethel (Coon) Amon.
Mr. Amon retired as a heavy equipment operator in Detroit, MI, from Edward C. Leavy in 1993 after 37 years of employment.
He attended the DuBois Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and the Milton Baptist Church. Mr. Amon was also a member of the National American Legion. He served with the U. S. Army during WWII.
His interests include his reading, watching baseball (especially the Pittsburgh Pirates), and talking about scripture and the Bible.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Hunter (David) of Turbotville; two grandchildren, Chad Hunter (Heather) of Watsontown, and Dan Hunter (Nicole) of Gilbert, AZ; two great grandchildren, Hannah and Sidney; three step-grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce Michaels (David) of Clearfield; a niece, Lori Michaels of Enola; nephews David Michaels (Janice) of Dillsburg, and Doug Michaels of Clearfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret J. (Zemka) Amon; and by his second wife, Elaine 'Tyke' Lockhart Stewart.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Eden Cemetery, Frenchville.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Great Commission Fund, 8595 Explorer Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80920.
