Rodney E. Dunzik Sr., 78, of Philipsburg died on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his home.
He was born on May 7, 1942 in Philipsburg, a son of the late William and Violet (Smeal) Dunzik.
Rodney retired from Corning Glass in State College after 37 years of employment. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching sports and will be missed by his faithful dog, Benji. Above all, Rodney was a loving husband to his wife, Virginia, and they will be remembered as always being together.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Philipsburg and served with the U. S. Army during Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Guy) Dunzik whom he wed April 11, 1970; a brother, Gary Dunzik and wife Pat of Kylertown; three sisters-in-law, Kathleen Guy of Clearfield, A. Marie Schultz of Piedmont, SC; and Mary Haversack and husband Jim of Hyde; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Dunzik Jr. in 2008. He was also preceded in death by four brothers-in-law, Nickey Guy, William Richard Guy, David Schultz and Anthony Guy.
A private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
