Ronald C. Bumbarger Sr., 70, of Woodland passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021.
He was born on November 12, 1951 in Clearfield, a son of the late Melvin and Carmen (Lucas) Bumbarger.
Many people knew him as 'Gab', some knew him as 'Festus', and others simply called him 'Pap'. Gab worked as a coal miner, then as a mechanic where he later retired from Woodland Forest Products. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He enjoyed hunting, fixing things, and taking his grandchildren on golf cart rides. Gab was a hardworking man that helped many people and always took care of his family.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Wright) Bumbarger whom he wed August 1, 1985; children, Prudence Perks, Ronald 'Chuck' Bumbarger Jr. and wife Fawn, Heather Hartzog and husband Heath, and Wesley Lindstrom and wife Lindsey; step children, William Kephart and wife Tracy, Wilbur Kephart, Christina Williams and husband James and Duane Kephart; grandchildren, Garrett, Izaak, Caleb, Nathaniel, Noah, Joshua, Neveah, Aurora, Bryanna, Hadley, Grayson, Rayah, William, Zach, Kyler, Matt, Maverick, Memphis, Duane Jr., Jasmine, Mark, and Madison; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert 'Seed' Bumbarger, James 'T-Bone' Bumbarger, David 'Smurf' Bumbarger, Daniel 'Dan-O" Bumbarger, Frederick 'Puff' Bumbarger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin 'Stump' Bumbarger; and a sister, Nancy 'Lulubelle' Bumbarger.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11 AM with Rev. Brenda Libreatori officiating. Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery at a later date.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 PM and on Friday from 10-11 AM.
