Ronald Paul Poslusney

Ronald Paul Poslusney, 86, of Clearfield, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 at his home.


Mr. Poslusney was born November 3, 1938 in Pittsburgh, the son of the late George and Helen (Babicka) Poslusney.


He retired in 1996 as a Control Room Technician for Penelec. Ron was a member of the Army National Guard from 1960 - 1966. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his Harley, attending antique car shows and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Clearfield.


Mr. Poslusney is survived by his daughter, Susan Poslusney of Clearfield; a stepson, Cris Mann and wife Kim of State College; three stepdaughters, Cindy (Mann) Alford and husband Hank of Kingwood, TX, Deby (Mann) Kurtz and husband Larry of Porter, TX, and Diane (Mann) Bath and husband Chris of Wilmington, NC; five grandchildren, Andi Rodi of Harrisburg, Heather (Alford) Basco of Lake Charles, LA, Kasey Alford of Kingwood, TX, Jessica (Kurtz) Helmer and husband Justin of Newark, TX, and Alec Mann of Mechanicsburg; eight great grandchildren; and a sister, Elaine Mayer of Chicago, IL.


In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Joan (Jennings) Poslusney on December 31, 2018 and whom he married July 26, 1969 in Clearfield; and two grandchildren, Ian Kurtz and Brian Rodi.


The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Hahne Cancer Center and Gentiva Hospice for the care and support provided to Ronald during his illness. They would also like to convey a special thank-you to Ron's Hahne drivers, Renee and Jeff, for their kindness and compassion.


Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
