Ruth A. Elinsky, 85, of Clearfield died on Monday, October 1, 2018 at her home.
She was born on April 20, 1933 in McCartney, a daughter of the late Clayton A. and Pearl M. (Freeman) Lockett.
Mrs. Elinsky was employed at Sylvania, Shortway, Tru Life Company, and also Winkie's Restaurant as a waitress. She enjoyed making ceramics and was a member of Faith Bible Church, Lumber City.
She is survived by her husband, George Elinsky; a son, Dr. Roger William Hamm and wife Diane of OH; a stepdaughter, Connie Pelton of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Nathan Hamm and wife Kristi of Cleveland, OH, Aaran Christopher Hamm and wife Jessie of SC, Doug Pelton and wife Becky, and Nanette Pelton of Clearfield; and seven great grandchildren, William Hamm, Joshua Hamm, Gabriel Hamm, Trey and Erin Pelton, and Steven and Gabrielle Frank.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Elinsky; four brothers, Carl, Cyrus, Clayton and Donald Lockett; and a sister, Gloria Kachman.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 2 PM with Pastor Scott Schultz officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11AM-2 PM .
