Samuel R. Weaver, 65
of 105 Elizabeth Street, Curwensville died on Thursday, August 21, 2003 at his residence.
He was born on February 12, 1938 in Wilmington, DE, a son of the late Luther M. Weaver, Jr and Thelma Weaver and was reared by the late Gertrude M. Weaver.
Mr. Weaver had been employed in the explosives industry for many years. He retired after 37 years of service from ORICA, Denver, CO, formerly known as Atlas Powder Company. Mr. Weaver was also employed with Wampum Hardware Company in New Galilee, PA as a salesman. He was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks #540, Clearfield and a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Vivien M. (Newton)Weaver, whom he married May 13, 1959 in Wilmington, DE

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son David A. Weaver, who died August 30, 2001, a daughter Sharon M. Brady, who died February 8, 1996, and a brother Luther M. Weaver.
Funeral services will be held at the Curwensville United Methodist Church on Monday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Arlene P. Beechert officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville, on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM
