Shannon L. McKee

Shannon L. McKee, 83, passed away on January 11, 2026, at the Penn Highlands DuBois.

He was born January 7, 1943, the son of Eldon E. McKee and Olive (Snyder) McKee.

Mr. McKee lived in Curwensville for most of his life. He worked for Penelec. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and coached little league for a number of years.

Shannon was a member of the Old Town Sportsmens Club.

He served with the U.S. Army from 1960-1963.

He is survived by his wife, Karen (Schickling) McKee whom he wed March 7, 1964; three children, Shane McKee, Dean E. McKee, and Wendy McKee Walburn; a brother, John McKee; and two sisters, Sandra Evans, and Judy Johnson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie McKee and Vivian Seracy.

Honoring Mr. McKee's wishes, there will be no public services.
