Shirley L. Lansberry, 91, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at her home.
She was born on January 24, 1931 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late AI and Pearl (Miller) Nelson.
As a teenager, she had joined the Salvation Army and was also affiliated with the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Clearfield. Mrs. Lansberry enjoyed playing the organ, crocheting, singing at church and spending time with family.
She is survived by two children Gary Lansberry and wife Angela of Clearfield and Pamela Rowles and husband Kenneth Jr. of Clearfield; a sister, Ruth Bock and husband Bill; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dorwyn B. 'Darby' Lansberry on January 8, 2004. She was also preceded in death by a son, James D. Lansberry; five brothers Willard, Eldon, Kenneth, Richard and her twin Sherman; three sisters, Ella Mae, Jane, and Carol; and two great grandsons, Tristian and Anjin.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Monday at 1 PM with Pastor Matt Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Styers Cemetery (formerly the Crown Crest Memorial Park), Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 11 AM - 1 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church 111 N. Second Street, Clearfield, PA 16830; or to Hahne Regional Cancer Center 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
