Thomas Gareth Cossick, 77, of Clearfield passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025.

He was born in Philipsburg, PA on March 21, 1948, a son of F. Gareth and Kathleen (Nevling) Cossick. He married Anne (McGill) Cossick on June 24th, 1972 at Saint Basil the Great Catholic Church in Coalport, she survives at home.

Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family farm near Utahville. He was a fan of Pittsburgh sports teams, and enjoyed attending games with family. Tom coached Little League baseball and enjoyed playing fast pitch softball. He was chosen Most Valuable Player in the Old Town Softball League Old Timers Tournament in 1989. Along with Anne, brother and sister-in-law Jack and Lisa McGill, Tom had many enjoyable bicycle rides on the Rails to Trails throughout Pennsylvania.

Tom served his country in the Army during Vietnam.

A graduate of BCI High School, Tom had an Associate Degree in CAD from Triangle Tech. He worked for Harbison-Walker in Clearfield until its closing and retired from PennDot after 25 years of service.

Tom loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He will always be lovingly remembered as "Pappap".

He is also survived by his son Tommy Cossick and wife Allison, his daughter Elizabeth Johnson and husband Ryan of Lafayette, Colorado. Grandchildren Ruby, Wiley, Thomas Cossick, Oliver Johnson, a sister, Kathy Hellmann(John), sisters-in-law Carol Botseas, Margie Bellish (John), Kate Troxell and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank Cossick.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Jefferson Manor Health Center for the wonderful care they provided for Tom.

At Tom's request , there will be no formal services.
