Thomas R. Dilts, 55
of 3297 Irishtown Road, Grampian died on Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Pittsburgh.
He was born on July 15, 1947 in Commodore, PA, a son of the late William R. Dilts and Velma C. (Rhoades) Dilts-Haag.
Mr. Dilts was a van driver for Community Action In Clearfield County for the dialysis program and was formerly employed with Howe's Leather in Curwensville.
He was a member of the Newburg Baptist Church and the Grampian and Mahaffey Volunteer Fire Companies. He served as captain of the Grampian Fire Police and as an American Red Cross volunteer.
A veteran of the United States Army, he served a tour in Germany and two tours in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Susie C. (Haag) Dilts, whom he married May 23, 1970 in St. Catherine's Church, DuBois

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Dorothy Doverspike, Joanne McKenrick, and Shirley Jean Dilts and a brother William A. Dilts.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Saturday at
11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dick Michaels officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW Post.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Friday from
2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Saturday from 10 - 11:00 am
