Thomas Lee 'Jiggs' Hugar, 74, of Clearfield passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Penn Highlands DuBois.
He was born on November 14, 1947 in Philipsburg, a son of the late Kenneth Hugar Sr. and Helen (Bingman) Hugar.
Jiggs enjoyed going to the races in Clearfield and going to NASCAR races with his daughters and grandchildren. He was a very handy man and could fix anything that needed to be fixed.
He worked at the former Piper Aircraft for many years and then did painting and sandblasting until retirement.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 812 , Clearfield; and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Leigey Renaud Post 8386, Frenchville.
Mr. Hugar served with the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce E. (Gill) Hugar whom he wed May 31, 1969; two daughters, Jody L. Albert and husband Michael L. of Weatherford, TX, and Torie Hugar and fiance Gary Sanker of Clearfield, five grandchildren, Courtney Tims, Brandon Albert, and Kaden Albert all of TX, and Sophia Sanker and Stella Sanker of Clearfield; two step grandchildren, Samantha Sanker and Emily Sanker of Clearfield; a great-granddaughter, Madison Tims of TX; and a brother, Kenneth Hugar, Jr. of Keewaydin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Geary Hugar.
Honoring Thomas's wishes, there will be no public services.
Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
