Virginia V. MacDonald, 81
of 313 West Fifth Avenue, Clearfield died on Friday, May 31, 2002 at her residence.
She was born on April 23, 1921 in Emporium, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Gennacarro) Vassallo.
Mrs. MacDonald was a homemaker and a very active member of the Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre having served for many years as the secretary on the board of directors and also directing and performing in numerous plays.
In addition, she was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, the Eight and Forty, the Rosary and Altar Society and the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post No. 6 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Neil J. MacDonald, whom she married October 16, 1943 in Salem, Mass.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Tuesday at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. Dennis C. Hadberg as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday from
3-5 & 7-9 PM.
The Rosary will be recited on Monday evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre,
