William R. Ogden Jr., 73, of Kersey, died on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 3, 1947 in Clearfield, a son of the late William Sr. and Norma (Poole) Ogden.
Bill was currently employed for over 20 years at Walmart in St. Marys. Prior, he had worked for Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven, Pepsi in St. Marys, and the former Windfall Products in St. Marys.
In his spare time, Bill enjoyed watching football, particularly Penn State and the NY Jets. He most enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie (Mertz) Ogden of Kersey; a daughter, Susan Smith; grandchildren, Jessica Ogden and fiance Hayden Gangloff, Jenna Kuhn, Josh Smith, and Justin Smith; great grandchildren, Trey Ogden, Trenton Smith, and Parker Gangloff; a very special aunt, Dorothy Welch; a special niece, Angie Simbeck and husband Kevin; and a little buddy, Braeden Chicola.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Rose Poole; an uncle, Robert Poole; and an aunt, Kay Poole Irwin.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 1:30 PM with Raymond Stiner officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
