Dad was everything to me. Before he got so sick, we enjoyed little trips out of town to see things. Dad loved trains and we went to the Altoona Train Museum, Horsehoe Curve and had a little train ride in Bellefonte. We went sightseeing at Fort Roberdeau and he enjoyed seeing how they lived in those days. He loved to go out to dinner and we did alot of that.
Dad's first job was at Brody's and he would say how embarrassed he was to dress femaile mannequins in the windows.
Dad's first car was a 1949 Ford. He learned to drive in Gaw and Al's driveway. He said he would back the car out of the garage and drive around the house to the road and back.
Dad called my house one evening when I was out later than usual. He kept calling and was worried when I didn't answer the phone. He drove to my place to see if I was ok. I checked phone messages and called to tell them I was out. Dad gave me a good talk and from then on I called to tell them every time I left the house so he wouldn't worry.
Dad and I brought Muffy home 5 years ago. She'll always be Dad's little girl.
I loved Dad with all my heart. Life will be empty without him.
