"Uncle Dom"

I went to visit Clliff and Antonette Trout last year.  I hadn't seen them for several years.  They are getting quite up there in years, and I asked them how they were getting along.  I knew Cliff wasn't driving anymore.   Antonette said "My uncle Dom helps us out.  He takes me shopping and helps us in many other ways."  She proceeded to tell me about some of his WWII experiences.   A couple of hours into the visit I heard a car approaching, and here came "Uncle Dom" bounding into the house.  I realized this was the same guy I remembered from 30 years ago at the bowling alley.   He looked about the same!   We talked, and he joked that "The first hundred years are the toughest."   His level of energy and positive outlook on life made quite an impression on me.  I'm certainly glad that I had the pleasure of meeting him. Quite a guy.
