Wagon Shed Fire

As usual when you visited the farm, there were many things to get into. The wagon shed incident came to mind immediately when I saw the obituary. We were about 10-12 and playing in the wagon shed when we thought it would be fun to pile a lot of straw in an old chicken brooder and set it on fire. Of course we thought the fire would be contained in the brooder; but it burned really well. If my Dad hadn't been nearby and seen the smoke, we probably wouldn't have made it out of there alive; but he came along and put the fire our and saved our bacon.

Another incdent was when Deana, you and I were playing in the hayloft and you fell about 20 feet to the barn floor. We thought you were dead; but apparenly you were too tough and only suffered a broken arm. That barn saw lots of action whenever my cousins came to visit.

Wish we could go back and do tose stupid things alll over again. RIP Larry.
