Fond Memories

I have fond memories from my childhood of visiting uncle Tom and aunt Jean. We would walk from granddad Phil Roessner’s house on Cherry street and spend time catching up and hearing interesting stories. Occasionally I would get the opportunity to go out and see the radio controlled big yellow Piper Cub take to the skies. This fueled my curiosity for aviation and something I shared in common with uncle Tom. Over the years as I became a pilot myself, my mom Nancy would give updates to uncle Tom of my own flying experiences. Not too long ago he sent back a small model airplane that he had made. It stays displayed on my desk reminding me of the interesting and exciting things that uncle Tom shared.

I also have very fun memories of going to the cabin for the first day of deer season with Joe, Fred, Bob and my dad.  Uncle Tom and aunt Jean were so very gracious to let my friends and me stay at the cabin during fishing season as well. They only asked that we leave the cabin as we found it and “no girls”…..I will forever cherish these memories.

My sincere condolences to the Berry family,
