Charlie MacDonald

Kathy, Robbie and Karen. I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your dad. Do not think I am crazy but I had a dream talking to him on the porch Tuesday. The day he had passed. I do not know why it still brings me to tears and makes me so moved at the same time. It was the standard conversation I had with him sitting on the milk box on the front porch and him smoking his cigarette. Still in disbelief when Charla called and told me on Wednesday that he had gone to be with your mother. I miss the old days off 5th Ave and the great families we had there. Not many left now. My Dad being almost 94 and still riding his motorcycle and living independently as he does is just amazing. We get up there as much as we can. I am glad that at least Robbie and Kathy had your dad so close the last years. It means allot for the grand kids got to know him. Dick was a very good man and great at what he did and such a gentle giant. We will truly miss him as we miss all of you. I will put a mass card at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Tappahannock, VA where I go to church so Father does it on his Birthday. Please stay in touch.
