Cheryl and I have known Helen 'forever'. She lived next door to Cheryl's parents for a number of years. Always courteous, always gentle in her dealings with others. Often, Helen and Lorraine would have coffee in the early morning hours and enjoy a friendly visit.
Once, some years ago, as I was cutting Chuck and Lorriaine's grass, I thought I would do the same for Helen, so I proceeded to cut everything I thought looked like grass much to my satisfaction. Only later did I learn that I had cut not only the grass, but some of her cherished vine that she so carefully maintaned. Opps. What did I know....it was all green to me!
As we all walk the path of life, and if we are fortunate, we will cross paths with those gentle and kind souls that represent the best of what we should all seek to become. Indeed, Helen was one of those souls.
In 'our neck of the woods', Helen wll always be remembed; both this year and in the years to come.
We send our love,
Bill & Cheryl Armstrong...
