Goodbye for now Uncle Carmen. We certainly loved you here, and you were always a man who my late brother Gannon and myself, held close in our hearts. While you are gone to the other side, we also know that you will see your wife, our Aunt Marie, while there, as well as my mother and my brother. Our heart is with you, always.

I am Carmen's first cousin by marriage. Marie, Carmen's wife, was my 1st cousin. My memories of Carmen go back to when he married Marie. I was at the wedding and remember taking a snapshot as they came up the aisle after the ceremony. What a handsome guy in his white dinner jacket. Maybe that's the reason I have one hanging in my closet. I digress. Carmen was fun to be around. He was always jovial, industrious and helpful. Carmen and Marie, to their credit, were the only relatives aside from my sister Carmella's family, to come visit my family in Minnesota. It was 1984 and we had just moved into hour new home in the fall of '83. What a great time we had. Carmen, of course, had to busy himself with a number of little "fix Up" projects. I think of him every time I clean out the dryer vent. He installed a little sliding door. Thankfully I was able to visit Carmen and Marie on trips back to Pa and always enjoyed their hospitality. I last saw Carmen at my mom's funeral. I don't know the specifics of his final days but hope that he did not die alone. He had so much to give that I hope at the end he was able to receive love and companionship in his final hours. Sometimes I think that the afterlife is a fairytale. At time like this, I truly want to believe that Carmen and Marie are reunited again. Drew Thomas

You were the families joy for all the fun times we had together. I remember the time you were on our diving board at the swimming pool with a cigar in your mouth and joking as you usually did. Could always make anything no matter what it was cause your skills were outstanding. We all will miss that big smile. I could see you now playing pinochle with your 2 brothers plus your dad up in heaven. May the good Lord receive you with open arms. We shall miss you but never forget you. Love you.

Uncle Carmen was a constant presence in our childhood -- taking us fishing, cooking us breakfast, making sauce, joking and laughing and dancing with our beautiful Aunt Marie. Later, when our parents needed support during our mother's illness, Uncle Carmen was again a rock, stopping by their house daily to see what they needed. He was a good and kind man, and beloved by his nieces and nephews and all of our spouses and children. We love you, Uncle Carmen, and will miss you dearly.
